Situated at the centre of the Isle of Mull, the holiday cottage offers an ideal base for exploring the island, 25 minute from the ferry terminal and 25 minutes from the island capital Tobermory.
The village of Salen is 2 miles from your holiday accommodation and has a shop, Post Office, Laundry and Petrol station.
Torlochan byre has a large garden set in tranquel surroundings.
There is plenty domestic and wildlife, - get up close to a highland coo, a gentle jersey cow, geese and hens and ducks. Eagles often fly above the house.
Fresh hen and ducks eggs available.
A huge budlia ensures constant visits from butterfly.
We have no objection to well behaved dogs and are welcome subject to prior arrangement.

The accommodation comprises one living room / kitchen, a separate double bedroom and bathroom.
Features include the following :
Open plan kitchen/Dining area with cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine.
Lounge with coal fire, TV, music centre.
Bed room with a double bed.
Bathroom, bath and shower.
The cottage also has electric heating.
A cot can be provided if arranged beforehand.
The bed will be made up ready for your arrival and towels are provided.
The cottage is available throughout the year, we are situated away from the main road, there is ample car parking.
Water is from a private supply.
Logs and coal are provided.
A great area for walking with a highland wilderness on your doorstep, look out for sea eagle and otters.
Mull is ideal for exploring Ulva, Iona, the Treshnish isles and Staffa the home of Fingals cave, various boat excursions visit these islands.
There are many animals at Torlochan byre including hens, sheep, ducks, geese, and 3 of our own dogs.
There is no public transport to Torlochan, but the service bus runs through Salen daily. There is a public phone box 1 mile from Torlochan.
